Raden Ajeng kartini was born in Jepara, April 21, 1879. She comes from a Javanese noble family. Kartini is the daughter of Raden Mas Adipati Ario Sosroningratan and M.A. Ngasirah. She is the fifth child of 11 siblings.
Little Kartini had the opportunity to get an education at a good school. Kartini studied at ELS (Europese Lagere School) until she was 12 years old. After that, She was kept in a house in Javanese tradition.
