Every year on August 17, our country celebrates a ceremony to celebrate Independence Day. August 17th is a day when the Indonesian people rejoice to remember the services of the heroes who have won independence. Over time, our country is growing every year. We are all lucky to be able to gather on this day because of the services of heroes who have defended our country for decades. Do you remember the names of the heroes who helped to free Indonesia from colonialism? There are so many heroes from various regions who are willing to die for the independence of the Indonesian nation. One of them is Bung Karno.
Do you know who Bung Karno is? Bung Karno was the first president of the State of Indonesia. Bung Karno was an important figure in the struggle of the Indonesian people for independence. He was the Proclaimer of Indonesian Independence (together with Mohammad Hatta) which occurred on August 17, 1945. Soekarno was the first to spark the concept of Pancasila as the basis of the Indonesian state and he himself named it. Of course Bung Karno was helped by his friends. We can learn many things from the internet, ranging from lessons in history, biology, mathematics, physics, social sciences, and also foreign languages. However, this can also bring negative impacts such as playing games for too long and also social media. It all makes us lazy. Therefore, my dear friends, let us be a useful generation for the homeland and the nation. A competitive, active and imaginative generation for the name of our nation so that we can give pride to our nation, so that we can participate in making the name of the Indonesian nation proud.

Setiap tahun di tanggal 17 Agustus negara kita merayakan upacara untuk memeriahkan hari Kemerdekaan. 17 Agustus merupakan hari dimana rakyat Indonesia bergembira untuk mengenang kembali jasa-jasa para pahlawan yang telah meraih kemerdekaan. Seiring waktu, negara kita pun semakin berkembang tiap tahunnya. Kita semua beruntung bisa berkumpul pada hari ini karena jasa-jasa pahlawan yang telah membela Negara kita sejak puluhan tahun lalu. Masih ingatkah kalian siapa nama-nama pahlawan yang telah membantu untuk membebaskan Indonesia dari penjajahan? Ada banyak sekali pahlawan-pahlawan dari berbagai daerah yang rela mati demi kemerdekaan bangsa Indonesia. Salah satunya adalah Bung Karno.
Taukah kalian siapa itu Bung Karno? Bung Karno adalah presiden pertama Negara Indonesia. Bung Karno merupakan sosok penting dalam perjuangan rakyat Indonesia untuk meraih kemerdekaan. Ia adalah Proklamator Kemerdekaan Indonesia (bersama dengan Mohammad Hatta) yang terjadi pada tanggal 17 Agustus 1945. Soekarno adalah yang pertama kali mencetuskan konsep mengenai Pancasila sebagai dasar negara Indonesia dan ia sendiri yang menamainya. Tentu saja Bung Karno di bantu oleh teman-temannya. Mengingat kembali bagaimana usaha para pahlawan kita untuk memperjuangkan kemerdekaan Indonesia, sudah sepantasnya sekarang kita sebagai bangsa Indonesia dapat menghargai dengan mengisi hari kemerdekaan ini dengan berbagai hal positif dengan semangat dan memiliki rasa nasionalisme yang tinggi sehingga kita dapat ikut berpartisipasi dalam hari kemerdekaan.
Semangat Nasionalisme yang tinggi dapat kita wujudkan dalam berbagai hal, namun hal yang paling penting bagi kita sebagai pelajar adalah belajar dengan sungguh-sungguh dan tidak hanya malas-malasan. Kita sebagai pelajar sudah dimudahkan oleh berbagai macam teknologi dan internet. Hal tersebut bisa membawa dampak positif dan juga dampak negatif bagi kita. Dampak positifnya, kita bisa memperoleh banyak ilmu pengetahuan dan juga informasi. Kita bisa belajar banyak hal dari internet, mulai dari pelajaran sejarah, biologi, matematika, fisika, ilmu sosial, dan juga bahasa asing. Namun hal tersebut juga bisa membawa dampat negatif seperti terlalu lama bermain game dan juga media sosial. Itu semua membuat kita menjadi malas. Oleh karena itu, teman-temanku yang terkasih, marilah kita menjadi generasi yang berguna bagi nusa dan bangsa. Generasi yang kompetitif, aktif dan imajinatif bagi nama bangsa kita agar kita dapat memberi kebanggaan kepada bangsa kita, sehingga kita dapat ikut serta mengharumkan nama bangsa Indonesia.

We as a nation should be able to appreciate the great service heroes. But more importantly at the moment is filling this independence with positive things. Fill this independence with a variety of activities that will benefit ourselves, everyone and of course to the people of Indonesia itself.
Let us continue with the spirit of the heroes we it with the spirit of patriotism and nationalism. What does it mean if an independent life grew miserable and not grow prosperous. We seek the Lord. But remember brothers and sisters … God will not change the fate of a person if the man himself did not want to attempt to change it.
The independence we gained also the grace of God. But do not please God give you all what we aspire to or we want if we ourselves do not want working on that.
Once again, let the warning this time around independence day we fill with increasing spirit of struggle that we have to make it as the spirit of patriotism and nationalism to fill this independence.

Kita seluruh bangsa Indonesia masih ingat betapa hebatnya perjuangan-perjuangan pahlawan kita dalam mempertahankan dan merebut kemerdekaan dari tangan para penjajah.
Kita sebagai bangsa yang besar harus dapat menghargai jasa pahlawan-pahlawan. Tetapi yang lebih penting lagi pada saat ini ialah mengisi kemerdekaan ini dengan hal-hal yang positif. Mengisi kemerdekaan ini dengan berbagai kegiatan yang bermanfaat bagi diri kita, semua orang dan tentunya bagi bangsa Indonesia sendiri.
Marilah kita teruskan semangat para pahlawan kita itu dengan semangat patriotisme dan nasionalisme. Apakah artinya merdeka jika hidup bertambah sengsara dan bukan bertambah sejahtera. Kita berusaha tetapi Tuhan yang menentukan. Tetapi ingat saudara-saudara… Tuhan tidak akan merubah nasib seseorang jika manusia sendiri tidak mau berusaha mengubahnya.
Kemerdekaan yang kita peroleh juga merupakan rahmat dari Tuhan. Tetapi jangan diharap Tuhan memberikan semua apa yang kita cita-citakan atau kita inginkan jika kita sendiri tidak mau mengusahakannya.
Sekali lagi, marilah peringatan hari kemerdekaan kali ini kita isi dengan meningkatkan semangat perjuangan yang harus kita wujudkan sebagai semangat patriotisme dan nasionalisme untuk mengisi kemerdekaan ini.
